Delayed or canceled flight

Cancellation cover is an optional part of the insurance and is not automatically included. The cancellation covers applies if you for example become ill and the doctor decides that you cannot travel as planned.

It also applies when the Ministry for Foreign Affairs advises against travel to the destination.

The insurance does not cover the canceled flight ticket.  When the airline company cancels the flight they are obliged to offer you a new departure, and if this is not possible, they should offer you a refund.

When a flight is delayed it is the airline companies responsibility to re-book you on a later flight or offer you a refund.

The insurance covers additional expenses which the airline company declines if the delay exceeds four hours.
